Us Filipinos have underestimated how much of a bandwagon and ignorant people we are, we often jump into things not knowing much about them without even trying to educate ourselves a bit with all the time that we have as of now. Yes, learning and educating yourself is a privilege at its own right and if you’re aware of that then why not make use of that luxury to spend it on your own and to other people so no one gets hurt and discriminated for something they did not choose.
We’ve fostered classism, xenophobia, gender based abuse, and victim blaming under hundreds of years due to colonization but if we just try hard enough to slowly erase those strands of hatred within our skin and to our women and children then we’d be able to make Philippines a better country with bearable people with it.
